Getting Important Work Done While Your Hearing Is Pending
In our region, wait times for disability hearings before the Social Security Administration (SSA) average about 12 to 14 months from the date you appeal your initial determination of benefits. While you are waiting for your hearing, I will take important steps like the following:
- Bring your medical records up to date: My office will communicate with your doctors to make sure your medical condition is fully documented. I will also prepare a memo summarizing the key points in your medical records if the SSA requests one.
